crore (approximately $735 million) for its National Quantum Mission,
countries like China have invested over $15 billion, and the US has seen
$6.9 billion in private investment alone. By establishing India's first
dedicated Quantum City, Karnataka is not just participating in this race; it's
taking a commanding lead within the country and aiming to position itself as
the "Quantum Capital of Asia." The city will attract global
talent and investment, putting Bengaluru firmly on the world's quantum map.

This initiative is a massive
investment in our people. The project aims to create nearly two lakh jobs,
with at least 10,000 of them being high-skilled roles in quantum
computing, physics, engineering, and more. The Karnataka Quantum Mission plans
to introduce quantum skilling programs in over 20 colleges and support 150 PhD
fellowships annually. This will create a steady pipeline of experts, ensuring
that the next generation of innovators is ready for the jobs of the future.
